We are now camped on Bruny Island at Adventure Bay. On Saturday we went to a walk on the neck of Bruny Island to a high lookout. It was about 50m high and had 200 steps.
Later on we drove to a cheesery and Heidi and I got a Hot chocolate and cheese.
After we went to the cheesery we went to a honey farm with a bee hive and some honey to try. We tried about 10 different honeys made on Bruny Island. After we tried the honeys we bought the ones Mum and I liked most.
Once we left the honey farm we drove back to our campsite at Adventure Bay.
On Sunday we drove to the north end of the island to a quarantine station. At the quarantine station we learnt that all quarantine flags are yellow and that all of the soldiers coming back from World War 1 had to stay at the quarantine station for at least one week.
When we were finished, we drove to pick up Dad and drove to a lunch space on the beach. After lunch we walked around Dennes Point reading some historical European information about Bruny Island.
Once we finished the walk we went to a whiskey place and then drove back to our campsite at Adventure Bay.
In the afternoon we went out to the beach and Dad did some fishing while Mum looked after the dog and Heidi and I played on the beach. When it started to get cold we walked back to the campsite and got ready for our showers and dinner.
My favourite part of the weekend was when we went to the honey place, because I love honey.
Well, you seem to be having a great time doing lots of different things, and no doubt learning a lot from it. I think I am like you, with my favourite being the honey place you visited. Would have been interesting to see the bees in their hives.
