Denmark, WA

One day we moved to a town called Denmark in Western Australia. We had lunch at a really windy place on the inlet shore. We went to set up at the caravan park which is the biggest caravan park we have ever been to. We then played on the playground and jumping pillow and flying fox.
That night we went out for dinner at the Boston Brewery in town. I had chicken nuggets and chips and Dad had a burger and Mum had a mushroom pie and Heidi had a ham and cheese toastie. The next day we had a look around town, then went to the chocolate co and we had a deconstructed hot choc! We went to the cheese place and bought some cheese to enjoy.
The next day was pancake day! We had pancakes to start the day, ready for our huge adventure! We drove down to the river, let mum take thedog around the path and across it around the corner, but we could not do it because of the paddle board. We went across the river on the paddle board, then across the channel to the other side of the inlet! We went fishing in the roughest wind, but we still caught some fish. Guess how many. Take a while to think about it.
The answer is eight!
The next day we went up to Mount Barker and had a look around there. We went to the bakery for award winning pies, and we ate them up at the lookout. The next day we stayed at camp. The day after that we went to the Valley of the Giants! We went on a free guided tour of the region we were in. We then went on the tree top walk which was very wobbly. The highest point of it was 40 meters tall! We then went to the gift shop, and I bought a badge. I already had a blue wren badge but this one had “tree top walk” written on it and it was not as heavy as the other one.
My favourite thing we did in Denmark was the fishing, even though I did not catch any!

Good to read your story about Denmark at last Hamish. Glad you enjoyed the fishing, even though you didn’t catch any.
