On Tuesday we moved from Peterborough to the Flinders Rainges (Editor’s note – the author is disputing the origins of this joke, and claiming it as his own, despite evidence to the contrary). As usual we set up camp and started the fire. The remote Flinders had mountains, goats, kangaroos and red sand. Heidi and I climbed up an old broken-down tree stump. The next day we did school and played on the stump and pretended that a log was a steam train. Then we had dinner.
The day after that was a walking day. We did the Blinman pools walk which had bad signage. That afternoon we had to gather in the tent because of a terrible storm, which rarely happens in the Flinders rainges. So the next day we just did school and went adventuring and I walked up the mountain. We also went to the pub.
The next day we went to Hawker for a look and lunch. We tried to by bread at the general store but they had none, so we had to get it from the petrol station. The next day we walked a bit of the Heyson Trail to wild dog creek. That afternoon we played on our computers.

Did Jett go with you to Wild Dog Creek? Sounds as though you are still doing a lot of walking.
Lucky you found that tree stump to play on with Heidi.
