Goodbye to Perth

Goodbye to Perth

We pulled up in our paddock in Toodyay from our last stop in Perth. We were staying at someone’s hobby farm and they had a whole range of animals included chickens, goats, llamas, alpacas, and a very, very, very annoying rooster – at four o’clock in the morning it’s starts going whatever noise roosters make ( it is very hard to explain as they make a whole range of annoying noises as well as keeping everyone awake until nine o’clock in the night).

Anyway, we went to the town of Toodyay and had a nice walk around town and there were lots of interesting buildings and we went in the Christmas Shop. They must have been collecting for years because you couldn’t see the end of the shop (it was so packed with stuff).  I would have loved to buy the whole shop there and now, but of course I couldn’t.

Our second full day was spent at Northam and we had a walk around town and got to see many interesting things.

Our fourth day was spent at York. We found ten-centimetre-tall fairy doors and most of them had a fairy outside their doors! We also went to the lolly shop and had a good value for our 90 cents! We also went on the suspension bridge and at the end a bird swooped at Jett, and he didn’t even notice!

On our fifth day we went and spent the day around a series of towns, and we went and did a heritage walk at Mundaring and passed a good playground and sadly Jett wasn’t allowed in it so we went to have morning tea at a seat in a shopping centre and right next to the information centre so that was helpful for the heritage walk. We also had a stop at two pubs one had a playground, but Mum and Dad had to sit on the veranda because Jett wasn’t allowed in the beer garden. Whereas the second pub had a nice grassy beer garden and Jett was allowed on it and it was in sight of the playground, so we had a nice play and then we departed to go home.

We spent our last day hanging at home and are getting a few jobs done then off on the road we are to the next stop which is a mystery for you.

  • Those fairy doors look really tiny. I’m surprised you could find any of them.
