We are now camped at Bruny Island and we came from Ross. The drive was out of Ross and into Hobart then onto the boat and finally at Bruny Island. The campground has 2 big playgrounds but we can only play in the playgrounds when it isn’t rainy, windy or both but sunny which isn’t very often.
The beach has a very high tide and you cannot walk along it when it is high tide.
At Hobart Jett had a bath and Dad got to be as black as Jett. We also got Jett’s flea and tick pills so he doesn’t die from a tick. Jett doesn’t like the hairdryer nor people blowing at him.
The cabins at Captain Cook Holiday Park are wooden but they also have names. My two favourites are Adventure and Discovery.
The first night the tent nearly blew over in my mind because it was so windy outside but luckily it didn’t blow over. Fires are allowed but it has been too cold and too wet for them.
Some days are warm. Normally they have sun so we can take off our layers but when the cold is back we need our layers back.
We went for a walk to a lookout which was looking out upon the sea but the walk was up there was approximately 200 steps upwards.
We went to the cheesery and Hamish got too much hot chocolate but I wanted more hot chocolate and we got some cheese as well. After the cheesery we went to the bee farm and tried at least 10 honeys. We got a honey called Prickle Box.
We hopped in the car and drove home. After an hour it started raining again so we hid out in the kitchen.
At the campsite there is a tiny kitchen and a huge one.
After dinner we have to have a $1 shower for 3 minutes so we can get warm.
I’m not sure when one of your posts is going to say that you haven’t visited a place that hasn’t got some type of food or drink! Mind you they would be all very interesting places I should think, as well as keeping your tummy’s happy. You seem to be doing a lot of interesting walks as well, so that will be keeping you all fit.
It must be a nice change to have a bit of real indoor space for a while now that you have moved onto Hobart. No doubt Jett is very happy having other dogs to play with.
Lovely hearing from you
