Tassie Devils

Tassie Devils

On Thursday we moved from Black River to Mole Creek. On Monday we went to Trowunna Wildlife sanctuary.

At the sanctuary we saw Tassie devils, Kangaroos, Birds, raptors and more. My fav animal was a Tassie devil which play like fighting.

Tassie Devil are born at the size of a grain of rice. We also got to feed the Kangaroos. Some were hungry and some were not hungry at all.

We also got to see huge eagles and they were injured. Most of the eagles flew away from us but there was one with a lost wing.  We also saw a wombat. The wombat can run into there burrow if there is a predator following. They can use their butt shield as an unbreakable door and sometimes they bend down so the predators head can stick in and the wombat stands up and crushes the predators.

Once we were done, we went to the gift shop. I bought a tassie devil slap band and Heidi bought a tassie tiger slap band. Then we drove back home and picked up dad and drove to a honey farm. At the honey farm you could try honey. These are the flavours I liked best:

Chocolate

Vanilla

Caramel

After we finished we drove back home

                                                                             The end!

  • Hello Hamish,
You were very lucky to be able to see the eagles, although not so good that some were injured.
I cannot begin to think what Chocolate Honey must taste like, but pretty good I guess if you liked it.
    Keep having fun.
    Love Granny
